“This isn’t like some fairytale. I kiss you, you won’t wake up.” Angel told her.

Claire just stared at him.

Angel knew he shouldn’t be here, in her room. It was too risky but all he could think about was how bad he wanted to kiss her. His emotions got the better of him. He found himself leaning in and kissing her. When Claire started kissing him back Angel pulled away, turning away from her when he felt his face wanting to vamp out. He didn’t want Claire to see him like that. The last thing he wanted was to scare her.

Claire placed a hand on his shoulder. “Angel?”

For a split second the demon inside him took over, he turned and growled at her. Claire jumped back screaming. She watched helpless as Angel jumped out the window.

Claire learned his secret that night. She’d known he’d been hiding something from her but that was the last thing she would have thought. That Angel was a vampire.
